All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores, and the price of each share reflects the market's collective assessment of that score's probability. As more shares are traded, the prices adjust to reflect new information and changing sentiment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price movements are driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price and indicating a higher probability. Conversely, if traders believe a score is unlikely, they will sell shares, lowering the price.
This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Burnley vs Derby match will determine the winning share(s) in this market. Any disputes regarding the official score will be resolved using widely accepted sports data sources. Traders should ensure they understand the resolution timeline and the process for verifying the outcome before participating in this market, as the final result will dictate the payout of their shares.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the probabilities within this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Burnley or Derby would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by the managers, or even weather conditions on match day could all contribute to price movements. Public sentiment, reflected in social media discussions and expert analysis, can also influence traders' decisions. Unexpected events during the match itself, such as early red cards or penalties, would immediately and dramatically affect this market.
