PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Cancellation/no-match handling differs between Polymarket and Limitless, specifically regarding the resolution of the draw market.Hero tip: Consider the differing cancellation rules when constructing positions, particularly on the draw market. A canceled match could lead to differing outcomes depending on the platform.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Win/Loss markets resolve to 'No' if the game is canceled with no make-up game. Draw market resolves to 'Yes' if the game is canceled with no make-up game. Resolution sources prioritize official stats, then Flashscore/Sofascore, then consensus.
  • Limitless: Win/Loss markets resolve to 'NO' if the game is not completed and no make-up match is scheduled. Draw market resolves to 'YES' if the game is not completed and no make-up match is scheduled. Resolution sources prioritize official stats.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This event is for the upcoming EFL Championship game, scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026 between Burnley FC and Derby County FC.

Kalshi

The event resolves based on the result of the Burnley vs Derby professional EFL Championship soccer match originally scheduled for September 19, 2026, after 90 minutes plus stoppage time. A market resolves to Yes if the specified team wins the match within regular time; if the match ends in a tie, the Tie market resolves to Yes. If the game is cancelled or rescheduled to more than 48 hours beyond the original date, all markets will resolve to a fair price. The event exclusively considers the result after regular time and stoppage minutes, excluding extra time or penalty shootouts. Kalshi disclaims any official affiliation with the governing league, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

Limitless

This market resolves to "YES" if the listed club wins after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalty shootouts, in the match scheduled for September 19, 2026, 14:00 UTC. Otherwise, it will resolve to "NO." If the match is postponed, this market will remain open until the match has been completed. If the match is not completed as scheduled for any reason (for example, if it is abandoned, canceled, or awarded), and an official final result is recognized by the governing body or event organizers, this market will resolve based on that result. If no official final result is recognized and no make-up match is scheduled, this market will resolve "NO." Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the nature of how they are determined. Sportsbooks set odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market reflects the collective intelligence of a diverse group of traders. This can lead to prediction markets being more accurate, especially when incorporating information not readily available to bookmakers. Furthermore, prediction markets allow participants to take both sides of a bet, incentivizing honest price discovery. The current implied probabilities in this market may offer a different perspective than those found at conventional sportsbooks.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Differences in pricing between Polymarket and Kalshi on this market can arise from several factors. These platforms have different user bases, trading volumes, and fee structures, all of which can influence price discovery. Additionally, the liquidity available on each platform can vary, leading to discrepancies. Market sentiment and information flow can also differ between the two venues, causing divergent predictions. While both platforms ultimately aim to reflect the true probability of an event, these inherent differences can result in varying prices for the same outcome.
