Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of informed traders, which can differ from sportsbook odds that are initially set by oddsmakers. Sportsbooks may incorporate factors like public betting percentages and marketing strategies, while this market is driven purely by individuals wagering their own capital. It's common to see discrepancies, particularly before significant events or when new information emerges. Often, prediction markets are more accurate than traditional polls or expert opinions, as they incentivize participants to be well-informed and make rational predictions.

Several factors could significantly influence this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Buffalo or Penn State would likely cause a shift in probabilities. Significant changes in weather conditions, especially if they favor one team's playing style, could also impact trading activity. In-game performance during the first three quarters, such as a dominant offensive showing or a surprising defensive strategy, will undoubtedly move the market as traders react to the unfolding events. Unexpected coaching decisions or momentum swings could also play a role.
