Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective beliefs of traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both venues. It's important to note that prediction markets can sometimes incorporate information faster than sportsbooks, particularly regarding unforeseen events or shifts in public sentiment.
