Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, aiming to profit regardless of the outcome, while this market allows traders to directly assess the probabilities. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, varying levels of expertise among market participants, and the influence of public sentiment. If you find a significant difference between the implied probability on Polymarket and sportsbook offerings, it could indicate an opportunity for informed trading or a differing assessment of the players' chances.

Unexpected results in other matches involving these players, or even broader trends in tennis rankings, could also play a role. Furthermore, large trades on Polymarket itself can cause short-term price fluctuations, reflecting a change in conviction among active traders.
