Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is undervaluing or overvaluing a particular outcome, you may see the odds on Polymarket diverge. This can happen because prediction markets allow anyone to take a position, potentially revealing information not fully captured by sportsbook algorithms or public opinion. It’s important to compare and contrast to form your own informed opinion.
