Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on internal models and risk management, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. Comparing the odds can be a useful exercise for informed decision-making, but remember that both represent probabilities as perceived by different groups.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the collective assessment of all participants trading on Polymarket, and the market is open for trading until it resolves.
This market resolves around Sep 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
