Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook odds due to differing information and incentives. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market allows participants to express their true beliefs about the probability of an outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook odds, it may indicate that the crowd believes the sportsbook has mispriced the event. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities based on different methodologies.
