Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines due to trader sentiment and available information. While sportsbooks may set their lines based on broader public betting patterns and expert analysis, prediction markets reflect the aggregated views of informed participants, potentially offering sharper or more volatile pricing.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders collectively set the odds through their bets, which determines the current implied probability for each outcome. The top outcome’s chance reflects the aggregate view of all participants, with price adjustments happening instantly as new trades execute. Market depth and volume influence how stable these prices are, and any major shift in betting patterns will be visible in the updated percentage odds. This decentralized pricing mechanism captures the real-time wisdom of the crowd on Polymarket.
