Generally, prediction market odds often reflect information beyond what is captured in traditional sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own analysis and aim to balance their risk, while this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd. This can lead to differences, particularly when new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. While sportsbooks may initially have an edge, prediction markets can sometimes become more accurate as the event approaches, incorporating a wider range of perspectives and data points than traditional betting venues.
