Prediction market odds often reflect a more nuanced view of probabilities, shaped by trader sentiment and real-time betting activity. Sportsbook odds, by contrast, are set by professional oddsmakers who factor in a range of variables, including historical performance and public betting trends. Comparing the two can reveal shifts in perception or value opportunities, as prediction markets may react faster to new information or sentiment swings.
