If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, particularly closer to the event. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market allows traders to directly assess probabilities. However, initial sportsbook lines may offer value if they differ significantly from the opening prices on Polymarket. It’s common to see convergence as the event approaches, with both sets of odds aligning based on new information and market activity. Comparing the two can reveal potential arbitrage opportunities.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing different first-half exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market’s implied probability of that score occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date collective assessment of the likely result. The market’s efficiency is driven by traders seeking to profit from perceived mispricings, continually adjusting the odds.
This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the official first-half result of the Brighton & Hove Albion FC vs. Arsenal FC match will be used to determine the winning share(s). The resolution will be based on the official scoreline at the end of the first half, as recorded by the official match statistics provider. Any disputes regarding the official result will be addressed according to the platform’s standard procedures, ensuring a fair and transparent resolution process.
Several factors could influence this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Arsenal or Brighton would likely cause significant shifts in the odds. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also impact trading activity. Unexpected lineup announcements or tactical changes revealed before kickoff could also move the market. Finally, any significant public sentiment shifts, perhaps driven by analyst predictions or fan discussions, could contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
