Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows anyone to trade and express their beliefs. If sportsbook odds significantly diverge from those found here, it may indicate disagreement about the likely outcome or differing levels of information available to each group. It's important to note that prediction markets often become more accurate closer to the event date as more information becomes available.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand; if more traders believe Boyko Vitalii will win, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the traders on Polymarket.
