Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets aim to represent the true probability of an event as determined by traders. This can lead to differences in implied probabilities. It's common to see prediction markets outperform sportsbook odds in accuracy, as traders have a strong incentive to correctly forecast the outcome. However, sportsbook odds can provide a useful benchmark for comparison and understanding public perception.
