The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different purposes and audiences. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, incorporating a built-in margin. Prediction markets, by contrast, are driven by trader sentiment and information flow, with prices reflecting what participants genuinely believe will happen. This market's odds may move faster or slower than sportsbook lines depending on which venue receives breaking news first. Comparing the two can reveal whether professional oddsmakers or decentralized traders are more bullish on a particular scoreline.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker and order-book mechanisms, with each exact score outcome trading as a separate contract. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The top outcome currently reflects strong conviction among participants. As match day approaches, prices adjust based on team news, betting flows, and public analysis. Liquidity varies across different scorelines; popular outcomes like draws or low-scoring results typically have tighter spreads and deeper order books than obscure high-scoring scenarios.
This market resolves around Jul 6, 2026, once the Botafogo vs. Avaí match concludes and the final score is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact scoreline at the end of regular time; the platform will confirm the result based on official match reporting. Early resolution is not typical unless the match is abandoned or postponed beyond the resolution window. Traders should monitor official team announcements and sports news for any scheduling changes or extraordinary circumstances.
Key catalysts include team injury reports, lineup announcements, and recent form trends for both Botafogo and Avaí. Managerial changes, suspension news, or weather conditions on match day can shift expectations about scoring patterns. Public analysis from sports media and expert predictions may also influence trader sentiment. As the match approaches, late-breaking tactical adjustments or surprise roster decisions often trigger sharp price moves. Trading volume and volatility typically spike in the final hours before kickoff as bettors finalize positions.
