The Boston outcome resolves to Yes if Boston has more runs than Colorado after five innings. The Colorado outcome resolves to Yes if Colorado has more runs than Boston after five innings. Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the collective beliefs of traders risking real money on outcomes. This market may show different implied probabilities than traditional sports betting sites, especially as new data or injury reports surface. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd on Kalshi sees value relative to conventional oddsmakers.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing different outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome fluctuates based on supply and demand, with the current market price reflecting the consensus probability among active traders. As new information emerges—lineups, weather, injury updates—traders adjust their positions, causing prices to shift in real time and creating opportunities for those who spot mispricings.
This market resolves around Jun 23, 2026, once the first five innings of the Boston-Colorado game are complete and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team has scored more runs through the end of the fifth inning. At that point, the market will settle and shares will be paid out according to the final result, closing the trading window for this event.
Several factors can shift prices before the game begins and during the first five innings. Lineup announcements, starting pitcher confirmations, and late-breaking injury reports often trigger sharp moves. Weather conditions, wind direction, and field conditions at game time influence run-scoring expectations. Early in-game action—hits, errors, and scoring in the first few innings—will prompt traders to reassess probabilities in real time. Breaking news about player availability or unexpected roster changes can also cause rapid repricing as the market absorbs new information.
