The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. In this market, prediction market participants may price exact scores differently than traditional oddsmakers, especially for less-common scorelines where sportsbook data is sparse. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value or where consensus differs from professional bookmakers. However, prediction markets excel at capturing real-time information shifts, sometimes moving faster than sportsbooks adjust their lines.
On Polymarket, traders set prices for each exact-score outcome through an automated market maker (AMM) mechanism, where the cost to buy or sell a share reflects the current probability of that scoreline occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy a particular exact score, its price rises and its implied probability increases; conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. The market began with an initial probability distribution across all possible outcomes, and that distribution has evolved based on trading activity. Liquidity pools allow traders to enter and exit positions at transparent, algorithmically determined prices, ensuring continuous pricing without reliance on a central operator.
This market resolves around Jul 11, 2026, once the match between Boston Legacy FC and Chicago Stars FC has concluded and the final score is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact scoreline at the end of regulation play. Traders holding shares in the correct exact-score outcome receive their payout, while incorrect predictions expire worthless. Resolution timing depends on when the game finishes and official confirmation is available, typically within hours of the final whistle.
Key catalysts that could shift odds include team news such as injuries to star players, lineup announcements, or tactical changes disclosed by either club. Recent form, head-to-head history, and weather conditions on match day can all influence trader expectations about the likely scoreline. Betting market moves at traditional sportsbooks may also prompt prediction market adjustments as arbitrageurs and informed traders react to new information. Social media sentiment, expert predictions, and pre-match analysis published by sports media can sway the crowd. As game day approaches and kickoff nears, volatility typically increases as traders finalize positions and late-breaking news emerges.
