On Polymarket, this market reflects trader sentiment rather than traditional sportsbook lines. Prediction market odds often show sharper adjustments based on real-time trading activity and can diverge from sportsbook odds, which are set by professional oddsmakers considering broader factors like public betting patterns and house margins. The difference provides insight into how active participants value the contest, sometimes highlighting under or overvalued sides compared to conventional betting markets.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders manually set the odds for this market through buying and selling contracts, which determines the current implied probability. The platform does not adjust these prices algorithmically; instead, supply and demand among participants set the market price, often resulting in rapid shifts as new insights or betting trends emerge.
