PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

All platforms define resolution based on the same timeframe (90 minutes + stoppage time) and handle postponements and cancellations consistently.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers (EFL.com).

Core resolution logic:

  • Markets resolve based on the outcome of the match within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time.
  • If the match is postponed, markets remain open until the match is completed.
  • If the match is canceled entirely with no make-up game, win/loss markets resolve to 'No', and draw markets resolve to 'Yes'.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours of the match's conclusion, Flashscore data will be used, followed by Sofascore, and then a consensus of credible reporting.
  • Score Revisions: Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Timing: Resolution will occur after the completion of the match (90 minutes + stoppage time) or, if canceled, upon official confirmation of cancellation with no reschedule. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This event is for the upcoming EFL Championship game, scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026 between Bolton Wanderers FC and Cardiff City FC.

Kalshi

The markets for the Bolton vs Cardiff EFL Championship soccer match scheduled for September 12, 2026, resolve based on the official result after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time or penalty kicks. Three distinct markets correspond to the possible outcomes: Bolton win, Cardiff win, and a tie. If the match concludes with a win for either Bolton or Cardiff within regular time, the respective market resolves to 'Yes.' Should the game end in a tie after regular time, the 'Tie' market resolves to 'Yes.' In the event the match is cancelled or rescheduled to more than 48 hours beyond the original date, all markets will resolve to a fair price as determined by the platform’s rules. The markets are independent of any official league affiliations, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.

If the match is not completed as scheduled for any reason (for example, if it is abandoned, canceled, or awarded), and an official final result is recognized by the governing body or event organizers, this market will resolve based on that result. If no official final result is recognized and no make-up match is scheduled, this market will resolve "NO." Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the differing incentives of participants. Sportsbooks aim to profit by setting lines that attract balanced betting, while prediction market participants are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. This market’s odds reflect the collective intelligence of traders who have ‘skin in the game,’ potentially leading to more accurate probabilities. Sportsbooks also factor in margins and perceived public biases, which may not be present to the same degree in a prediction market. The volume on this market is currently $258,425.

Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi for this market can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has a different user base, trading volume, and liquidity, which influences price discovery. Furthermore, the specific mechanisms for trading and market making on each platform can lead to discrepancies. For example, Polymarket might attract more sophisticated traders, while Kalshi could have a broader range of participants. These differences in market dynamics can result in varying probabilities for the same event. The current volume is $258,425.
