These markets evaluate how many points are scored in the final quarter of a college football game between Boise State and Oregon. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that specific period.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Boise St. vs Oregon college football game scheduled for Sep 5, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined score exceeds that threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored during regulation 4th quarter play count—overtime points are excluded. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by a smaller team of experts, while this market aggregates opinions from many individuals. It's common to see initial discrepancies, as sportsbooks react quickly to news and adjust lines accordingly, whereas this market may take longer to incorporate new information. However, as the event approaches, the odds on Kalshi tend to converge with those found at major sportsbooks, reflecting a shared understanding of the likely outcome.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction, meaning buyers and sellers set the prices through their bids and asks. The price of a contract represents the probability of the event occurring – in this case, the 4th quarter total points being over or under the specified threshold. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price fluctuates to reflect the evolving consensus. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as profitable trades are rewarded, and inaccurate ones result in losses. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to create a market that efficiently reflects the true probability of the event.
This market resolves around Sep 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the 4th quarter of the Boise State vs Oregon game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics, as reported by a trusted sports data source. The market will determine whether the total points scored in the 4th quarter exceeded or fell short of the threshold established when the market was created. All outstanding contracts will be settled based on this verified result.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Boise State or Oregon would likely have a significant impact, as it affects the teams' scoring potential. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact the passing or running game, could also move the market. Late-breaking news about coaching strategies or team morale could also play a role. Finally, large trading volume on Kalshi itself, driven by informed traders, can also cause noticeable price fluctuations.
