Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and profit margins, while prediction markets are driven by trader supply and demand. This market aggregates real-money bets from many participants, which can surface insights that traditional oddsmakers miss. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value or where consensus differs, though each reflects distinct incentive structures and risk models.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time odds. Each outcome—whether Bohemian FC or FC Ballkani scores first—has a price between 0 and 1 reflecting its implied probability. As traders buy and sell shares, the price adjusts continuously. The spread between bid and ask prices tightens as volume increases, making it cheaper to enter or exit positions closer to the event.
This market resolves around Jul 22, 2026, once the match concludes and the first goal is verified. The outcome is determined by which team scores first during regular play, confirmed against credible public reporting of the final result. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome receive their payout automatically when the event is settled. Early resolution may occur if one team is eliminated or the match is officially postponed or cancelled.
Team news—injuries to key strikers, lineup changes, or tactical shifts—can significantly alter scoring probabilities. Recent form, head-to-head records, and home-field advantage also influence trader positioning. Weather conditions and pitch quality on match day may favor one side's attacking style. As kickoff approaches, late-breaking roster updates or referee assignments can trigger sharp moves. Live betting activity during the opening minutes often reflects early match dynamics, creating volatility in the final hours before settlement.
