Generally, prediction market odds often reflect information not immediately captured by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks may initially set lines based on team rankings and public perception, while this market allows for a more rapid incorporation of new information, such as injuries or strategic changes. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, as prediction markets can be more sensitive to nuanced factors and expert opinions. However, as the event approaches, the odds on Polymarket and sportsbook lines tend to converge, representing a collective assessment of the likely outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a particular outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability, with higher prices indicating a greater perceived chance of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price is determined solely by supply and demand – if more people believe Bodac Alexandr will win, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic and real-time assessment of the event's potential results.
This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Bodac vs. Ciubinidze match, as reported by the governing sports body. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine the winning outcome. Traders who hold shares in the correct outcome will be entitled to a payout, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their investment. The exact payout will depend on the price of the shares at the time of resolution.
