Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Both Polymarket and Kalshi resolve based on the official match outcome after 90 minutes plus stoppage time on April 25, 2026, with identical treatment of postponements and cancellations across all three possible outcomes (Blackpool win, Leyton Orient win, draw).
Primary resolution logic:
Official statistics from the EFL (English Football League) as the governing body for League One, or consensus of credible reporting if official statistics are not published within 2 hours of match conclusion.
Core resolution logic:
Blackpool FC win market resolves YES if Blackpool wins within 90 minutes plus stoppage time; otherwise NO.
Leyton Orient FC win market resolves YES if Leyton Orient wins within 90 minutes plus stoppage time; otherwise NO.
Draw market resolves YES if the match ends in a draw within 90 minutes plus stoppage time; otherwise NO.
Exactly ONE of the three markets will resolve YES (mutually exclusive outcomes).
If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until the match is completed.
If the match is canceled with no make-up game, Blackpool and Leyton Orient win markets resolve NO, and the draw market resolves YES.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open and unresolved until the rescheduled match is completed. Resolution then occurs based on the actual outcome of the completed match.
Match Cancellation Without Makeup: If the match is canceled entirely with no makeup game scheduled, the Blackpool win and Leyton Orient win markets resolve NO, while the draw market resolves YES.
Extra Time and Penalties Excluded: Resolution is based only on the outcome after 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shootouts are not considered.
Resolution Source Hierarchy: Primary source is official EFL statistics. If official statistics are not published within 2 hours of match conclusion, resolution uses consensus of credible reporting from established sports media sources.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official announcement of the final match result by the EFL or, if necessary, upon consensus determination from credible reporting sources within 2 hours after the match conclusion.
