This group forecasts the outcome of a single EFL Championship soccer match between Blackburn Rovers FC and Millwall FC on September 12, 2026. Markets exist for Blackburn Rovers winning, Millwall winning, and the game ending in a draw.
This event is for the upcoming EFL Championship game, scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026 between Blackburn Rovers FC and Millwall FC.
The event covers three possible outcomes of the Blackburn vs Millwall professional EFL Championship soccer match scheduled for September 12, 2026: a win for Blackburn, a win for Millwall, or a tie, all determined after the full 90 minutes plus any stoppage time, excluding extra time or penalty kicks. Each market resolves to 'Yes' if its designated outcome occurs. If the match ends in a tie after regulation time, the 'Tie' market resolves to 'Yes.' Should the game be cancelled or rescheduled to more than 48 hours beyond the original date, all markets will resolve to a fair price as per the event rules. The event explicitly states that Kalshi is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
This market resolves to "YES" if the listed club wins after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalty shootouts, in the match scheduled for September 12, 2026, 14:00 UTC. Otherwise, it will resolve to "NO." If the match is postponed, this market will remain open until the match has been completed. If the match is not completed as scheduled for any reason (for example, if it is abandoned, canceled, or awarded), and an official final result is recognized by the governing body or event organizers, this market will resolve based on that result. If no official final result is recognized and no make-up match is scheduled, this market will resolve "NO." Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Prediction market odds, like those displayed for this market, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to profit from margins, while prediction markets allow traders to directly express their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment diverges from expert opinion. It's common to see prediction markets incorporate information more quickly and efficiently than sportsbooks, particularly regarding factors not explicitly captured in traditional betting models. Comparing the two can provide a more comprehensive view of the likely outcome.
Prices for this market on Polymarket and Kalshi may diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying risk appetites and information sets, leading to differing interpretations of the same event. Trading volume also plays a role; lower volume on one platform can result in wider bid-ask spreads and more volatile price movements. Furthermore, the specific mechanisms for price discovery – how traders place bets and how those bets influence the odds – can differ between Polymarket and Kalshi, contributing to discrepancies in the perceived probability of each outcome.
