Opinion
In the upcoming VCT best-of-series match scheduled for 2026-07-20 11:40 UTC: if XLG Gaming wins the series, the market will resolve to "XLG Gaming"; if Bilibili Gaming wins the series, the market will resolve to "Bilibili Gaming". The series winner is the first team to win a majority of games. Individual games remade due to technical issues do not count as wins toward the series. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. In cases where a team's listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50. Resolution Source: official VCT broadcast and https://valorantesports.com/; community coverage on vlr.gg may be used as a supplementary source. Note: Opinion will resolve strictly based on the first officially published result from the designated source. Any subsequent revisions will not affect this resolution.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven by traders seeking to profit from accurate forecasts. On Opinion, odds emerge from real-time supply and demand rather than a bookmaker's model, which can lead to sharper pricing in some cases. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks helps identify where consensus differs and whether one venue perceives edge relative to the other.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective belief in that outcome's probability, ranging from near zero to near one hundred. As new information emerges or trader sentiment shifts, the price adjusts in real time. This dynamic pricing model rewards early insight and punishes delayed reaction, encouraging participants to incorporate news and analysis quickly into their positions.
This market resolves around Jul 20, 2026, once the esports match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the final score and winner as officially recorded by the event organizer or recognized esports authority. Until that point, traders can adjust their positions based on team form, roster changes, patch updates, or any other signals they believe predict the result. Resolution is binary: one team will be confirmed as the victor, and the market will settle accordingly.
Several catalysts can shift odds before Jul 20, 2026. Player roster announcements, injuries, or substitutions for either squad will likely trigger repricing. Patch changes to the game itself may favor one team's playstyle over the other. Recent tournament results, head-to-head records, and scrim performance leaks from the community can all influence trader conviction. Media narratives, coaching changes, and team morale reports also move sentiment. As the match date approaches, any credible news about preparation, meta shifts, or external circumstances will be reflected in real-time price adjustments on this market.
