Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the wisdom of the crowd. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook line is inaccurate, we may see odds on Polymarket diverge from those offered elsewhere. However, it's not uncommon to find alignment, especially when public sentiment matches expert analysis. Comparing the two can reveal interesting insights into perceived probabilities.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the Benin vs. Argentina second half. The price of these shares directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of its participants.

This market resolves around Sep 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the second half of the Benin vs. Argentina match will be used to determine the winning outcome. The platform will verify the result against official sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout, while those holding shares in losing outcomes will forfeit their stake.
