Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. This can lead to discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on team statistics and expert analysis, this market can quickly adjust based on real-time trading activity and the insights of informed participants. It’s common to see differences in implied probabilities between the two.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a real-time probability assessment. Traders are expressing their beliefs about the likelihood of each outcome, and these beliefs are aggregated into the current market price. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its corresponding contract will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust its predictions.

This market resolves around Sep 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Bengals-Steelers game, as reported by a trusted sports data source. The platform will verify the outcome against these sources to determine which contracts will pay out. Traders who correctly predicted the result will receive a payout based on the final market price at resolution. It's important to monitor the event's progress and the official results to understand when and how this market will settle.

Several signals or events could significantly impact this market before it resolves. Any news regarding key player injuries on either the Bengals or the Steelers would likely cause a shift in the odds. Changes in team performance, coaching decisions, or even weather forecasts could also influence trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about player availability, or even significant pre-game analysis from respected sports commentators, could all contribute to price movements. Major shifts in public opinion, as reflected in polls or media coverage, could also play a role in shaping the market’s trajectory.
