This market covers the second set of the professional tennis match between Belinda Bencic and Mika Stojsavljevic at the 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 128 on June 29. The winner of set 2 will be determined by standard tennis scoring rules.
Resolution is based on which player wins set 2 in the specified match. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one aggregate the beliefs of many independent traders competing for profit. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper pricing on niche outcomes—such as individual set winners in tennis—because traders with specialized knowledge compete directly. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal whether the crowd is pricing the set winner differently than traditional oddsmakers.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing each potential outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each contract reflects the collective probability estimate of all active traders; as new information emerges or sentiment shifts, prices adjust in real time. Higher prices indicate stronger confidence in that outcome, while lower prices suggest lower perceived likelihood. This dynamic pricing model ensures that the market continuously incorporates new evidence and trader conviction.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the Bencic vs Stojsavljevic match is completed and the second set result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the second set according to official match records. Until that time, prices will fluctuate based on pre-match analysis, player form, injury reports, and live match developments. Resolution is final once the set is officially recorded.
Several factors could shift prices in this market before resolution. Injury announcements or withdrawal news involving either player would trigger sharp repricing. Recent tournament results, head-to-head records, and court surface performance data often influence trader sentiment. Live match developments—such as the outcome of the first set—typically cause significant price movement, as they provide concrete information about player form and momentum. Weather conditions, player fatigue, and betting syndicate activity can also drive volatility. Monitor official tour announcements and reliable sports news for catalysts.
