In the upcoming WTA singles match scheduled for 2026-07-05 19:40 UTC: if Belinda Bencic wins the match, this market resolves to "Belinda Bencic"; if Coco Gauff wins, it resolves to "Coco Gauff". The winner is the first player to claim the required number of sets under the match's official best-of format. If the match begins but is not completed, a retirement or default counts the opposing player as the winner. If a walkover is declared before the first point is played, the match is outright canceled, or it is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. Suspensions caused by weather, fading light, or other tournament-imposed delays do not close this market — it stays open until the match is officially completed, provided it concludes within the 7-day window mentioned above. Resolution Source: The official WTA Tour scoring page. Note: This market will resolve strictly based on the first officially published result from the designated source. Any subsequent revisions will not affect this resolution.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. For this market, comparing the implied probability here to major sportsbook lines can reveal where smart money sees value. Prediction markets tend to be efficient at incorporating late-breaking information, so significant gaps may signal an edge worth investigating before the event concludes.
On Opinion, this market is priced through continuous order-book matching, where traders buy and sell shares representing each player's probability of winning. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective belief of all active traders at that moment. As new bets flow in, the price adjusts instantly, creating a real-time consensus forecast. Traders profit by correctly predicting the outcome, which incentivizes accurate pricing and rapid incorporation of relevant news or analysis about both competitors.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official winner of the tennis match between the two players. No ambiguity exists in tennis outcomes—one player wins or the match is voided under rare circumstances. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares, and prices will fluctuate based on pre-match analysis, player form, and any breaking developments.
Several factors could shift odds significantly before the match begins. Injury reports or withdrawal announcements would trigger sharp repricing. Recent tournament results, head-to-head records, and surface-specific performance data often drive trader activity. Court conditions, weather forecasts, and seeding changes can also influence sentiment. Media coverage highlighting one player's form or confidence may prompt repositioning. Late-breaking news about either competitor's fitness or mental state frequently sparks volume spikes. Traders monitoring these catalysts closely often gain an edge by reacting faster than the broader market.
