This market refers to the volleyball match between Belgium and Canada in the FIVB Nations League, originally scheduled for July 18 at 11:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Belgium" if Belgium wins the match. It will resolve to "Canada" if Canada wins the match. If a team withdraws, forfeits, is defaulted, or is disqualified after the match begins, this market will resolve in favor of the team officially credited with the win. If the match begins but is not completed and no winner is officially declared, this market will resolve 50-50. If the match does not begin for any reason — including cancellation, pre-match withdrawal, walkover, or forfeit before play begins — or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without play beginning, this market will resolve 50-50. Resolution will be based on official FIVB results.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven purely by trader belief and capital allocation. This market aggregates the views of many independent participants rather than a single operator, which can surface information faster or differently than traditional betting lines. Both sources offer value, but comparing them helps identify where consensus is strongest or where outlier perspectives exist.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on the volume and direction of trades. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy or sell shares representing each outcome, and the price of each share moves continuously as supply and demand shift. The platform displays the implied probability for each result, derived from the current share prices. Deeper liquidity typically narrows the spread between bid and ask prices, making it easier to enter or exit positions at fair value.
This market resolves around Jul 26, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by the final score and official match result—whether one team wins, the other wins, or the match ends in a draw. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final whistle, after official confirmation from the relevant football governing bodies. Traders should monitor official sources and platform announcements for exact timing.
Key catalysts include team roster announcements, injury updates to star players, and recent form or head-to-head records. Coaching changes, tactical shifts, or public statements from managers can also shift trader sentiment. Weather conditions at the venue and betting line movements from major sportsbooks may influence prediction market prices. Media coverage highlighting underdog narratives or historical matchup trends can drive volume spikes. As the match date approaches, late-breaking news—such as last-minute lineup changes or player availability—often triggers sharp repricing.
