Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, however, is driven by the collective predictions of traders, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially as the event approaches. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, prediction markets can quickly adjust to new information and changing sentiment, offering a dynamic comparison point. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, reflecting differing assessments of the likely outcome.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the second half of the Beitar Jerusalem vs. Hapoel Haifa match. As more shares are traded, the price of each share fluctuates, reflecting the collective probability assigned to that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring, allowing traders to express their views and profit if their predictions are accurate. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand within Polymarket.

This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the second half of the Beitar Jerusalem vs. Hapoel Haifa match, as determined by official league sources. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution, while those holding shares in losing outcomes will forfeit their investment.
