Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the differing incentives and information sources. Sportsbooks primarily aim to balance their books and profit from margins, while prediction markets incentivize accurate forecasting. This market reflects the wisdom of the crowd, incorporating a wider range of information and perspectives than a sportsbook’s internal models. As a result, prediction markets can sometimes offer more accurate probabilities, particularly when a significant amount of volume is traded, as is the case with a volume of $448,433.
