Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action, while this market’s pricing is driven purely by traders’ willingness to buy or sell based on their own analysis. If a significant number of traders believe a particular exact score is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the odds on Polymarket will shift accordingly. This can create opportunities for arbitrage or simply indicate a different assessment of the event’s probability than traditional betting outlets.
