Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance their risk, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs about the outcome. If a significant number of traders believe a particular exact score is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the price will move accordingly. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of trading in this market. It's common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds over time.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible exact score. The price of each contract reflects the market's probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy into a particular outcome, its price increases, and the implied probability rises. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is solely determined by supply and demand among traders on Polymarket and isn’t influenced by external factors or a central authority setting the odds.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Bay FC vs. Racing Louisville match is verifiable from credible public reporting.
