Opinion
In the upcoming VCT best-of-series match scheduled for 2026-07-28 15:00 UTC: if Karmine Corp GC wins the series, the market will resolve to "Karmine Corp GC"; if Barça eSports GC wins the series, the market will resolve to "Barça eSports GC". The series winner is the first team to win a majority of games. Individual games remade due to technical issues do not count as wins toward the series. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. In cases where a team's listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50. Resolution Source: official VCT broadcast and https://valorantesports.com/; community coverage on vlr.gg may be used as a supplementary source. Note: Opinion will resolve strictly based on the first officially published result from the designated source. Any subsequent revisions will not affect this resolution.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they operate under different incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets aggregate the collective beliefs of traders who have real money at stake. On Opinion, odds reflect continuous trading rather than a fixed line, allowing them to adjust more fluidly to breaking news or sentiment shifts. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal whether the crowd is pricing in information differently than professional oddsmakers.
On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Opinion, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders submit buy and sell orders at their chosen odds. The current price reflects the most recent matched trade, and the spread between bid and ask orders shows the cost of immediate execution. As new information surfaces or sentiment shifts, traders adjust their orders, causing the price to move. This continuous price discovery process means the odds update in real time without requiring a central authority to reset them.
This market resolves around Jul 28, 2026, once the esports match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result reported by the event organizers or recognized esports media. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell positions as new information emerges. Resolution occurs automatically once the event is finalized and the winning outcome is recorded.
Several factors could shift odds before the match concludes. Roster announcements, player injuries, or last-minute lineup changes for either team could trigger significant repricing. Recent tournament results, head-to-head records, and performance trends in the weeks leading up to the event often influence trader sentiment. Coaching changes, team morale reports, or statements from players and analysts may also move the market. Additionally, any technical issues or delays affecting the match could create volatility as traders reassess probabilities in real time.
