Each market corresponds to a particular player and a specific total bases requirement, ranging from 2 to 6 or more bases. If the player records the required number of total bases during the game, the respective market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Player participation is critical: if a player is scratched, not in the starting lineup, or fails to record a plate appearance, the market resolves to the fair market price. Additionally, if a player enters the game as a substitute but does not start, the market also resolves to the fair market price, with pinch-hit at-bats excluded from consideration. Only players who are in the starting lineup and record at least one plate appearance contribute to the settlement of their markets, which is based solely on the total bases they accumulate during their official at-bats.
