This baseball event tracks the run differential between Baltimore and Cincinnati during the first five innings of their July 3, 2026 game. Bettors can wager on whether one team will lead by more than various run margins after five complete innings.
Resolution is based on the run differential at the end of the first 5 innings of the professional baseball game originally scheduled for July 3, 2026 at 7:10 PM EDT. Cincinnati markets resolve to Yes if Cincinnati leads by more than the specified margin (1.5 or 2.5 runs) after 5 innings. Baltimore markets resolve to Yes if Baltimore leads by more than the specified margin (1.5 or 2.5 runs) after 5 innings. If the game is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled game finishes within two days.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader conviction and real-money stakes. Comparing this market's pricing to major sportsbook spreads can reveal where the crowd of traders disagrees with professional oddsmakers, potentially signaling value or consensus shifts as game time approaches.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The spread between bid and ask prices reflects the current consensus on whether Baltimore or Cincinnati will cover the first-five spread, with prices updating in real time as new trades execute. Deeper liquidity typically narrows the spread and increases confidence in the market's price discovery.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the first five minutes of the Baltimore-Cincinnati game have concluded and the official score is verified. The outcome is determined by comparing the final first-quarter score to the spread established at market open, with the result confirmed against credible public reporting from the league and official broadcasters. Early resolution may occur if the game is postponed or cancelled under league rules.
Key catalysts for this market include injury reports or roster changes affecting either team's starting lineup, weather conditions at game time, and late-breaking betting action from sharp bettors. Shifts in sportsbook spreads and public betting percentages can also influence trader positioning. Real-time game flow during the opening minutes—such as early turnovers, penalties, or scoring drives—will drive final price adjustments as traders react to unfolding events before the five-minute mark.
