Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective prediction of informed traders. It’s common to see discrepancies, as prediction markets can sometimes incorporate information faster and from a wider range of sources. If you find a significant difference between the odds here and those offered by sportsbooks, it could indicate that traders believe the sportsbook is mispricing the event, or that they have access to unique insights.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants.
