The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
The market resolves to Yes for the specific correct score outcome selected. Resolution is based on the final score of the Chapecoense SC vs CR Flamengo RJ professional Brasileiro Serie A soccer game originally scheduled for July 22, 2026, measured after 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shootouts are excluded from consideration. Each possible score combination from 0-0 draws to 5-2 victories for either team represents a distinct outcome, and the market resolves affirmatively only if the actual match result matches the selected score exactly.
Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price outcomes differently because they operate on distinct mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds based on their risk management, margin targets, and internal models, then adjust lines to balance action on both sides. Prediction markets, by contrast, derive prices from continuous trader participation—the crowd's collective belief about probabilities. This market-driven pricing often reflects real-time sentiment and can diverge significantly from sportsbook lines, especially for niche outcomes like exact scores. Traders frequently exploit these gaps by comparing this market's prices to available sportsbook odds, seeking value when the two diverge meaningfully.
Team news—injuries to key players, lineup changes, or tactical shifts—can significantly reprrice exact score probabilities. Recent form, head-to-head history, and home-field advantage all influence trader conviction. Weather conditions on match day, referee assignments, and late-breaking roster updates often trigger sharp movement in the final hours before kickoff. Additionally, if either team's season trajectory changes dramatically (e.g., a critical win or loss beforehand), market participants may reassess scoring expectations. Volume spikes and sudden price swings typically signal informed traders acting on new information, making this market a useful barometer of shifting sentiment as the event approaches.
