This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between India and Afghanistan scheduled for September 28 2026 at 12:30 AM ET in Asian Games Men. The outcome corresponding to India will be considered correct if India is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Afghanistan will be considered correct if Afghanistan is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Often, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from initial sportsbook odds which can be influenced by factors like public perception or bookmaker biases. Sportsbooks may set lines to attract balanced betting, while this market allows traders to express their true beliefs about the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information and analytical approaches. If significant differences emerge, arbitrage opportunities may exist, where traders can profit by betting on both platforms. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, not guarantees.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and express their views, the price adjusts to reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand for these shares, creating a dynamic and real-time assessment of the toss outcome’s likelihood.
This market resolves around Oct 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the officially declared winner of the toss in the Asian Games Men's match between India and Afghanistan. The official result will be sourced from recognized sports news outlets and the official tournament organizers. This ensures a transparent and verifiable outcome for this market, allowing for accurate settlement of all outstanding shares.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team lineups, player form, or weather conditions leading up to the match could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about potential delays or changes to the match schedule could also cause fluctuations. Furthermore, general news and analysis surrounding the performance of the Indian and Afghan teams in the Asian Games could impact the perceived probabilities. As the match draws closer, increased attention and trading volume are likely, potentially leading to more significant price movements.
