Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Afghanistan and Nepal scheduled for September 25 2026 at 1:00 AM ET in Asian Games Men. The outcome corresponding to Afghanistan will be considered correct if Afghanistan is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Nepal will be considered correct if Nepal is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to profit from imbalances in public perception, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. If a significant number of people believe an outcome is more likely than a sportsbook suggests, the price will move accordingly. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately reflect true probabilities, especially as an event approaches and more information becomes available. However, discrepancies can still occur due to differing levels of information and market participation.

This market resolves around Oct 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the coin toss—whether Afghanistan, Nepal, or a draw is determined—will be used to settle the market. The outcome will be based on the official result announced by the event organizers. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will receive a payout of 1 USDC per share, while those holding shares in losing outcomes will receive 0 USDC.

Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding team form, potential weather conditions affecting the toss, or even general sentiment surrounding the teams could cause shifts in trading activity. Unexpected announcements related to player availability or changes in toss procedures could also move the market. Furthermore, large trades by influential participants could create short-term price fluctuations. Monitoring news sources and social media for relevant updates will be key to understanding potential catalysts for price movement in this market.
