Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Afghanistan and Japan scheduled for September 23 2026 at 8:00 PM ET in Asian Games Men. The outcome corresponding to Afghanistan will be considered correct if Afghanistan is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Japan will be considered correct if Japan is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and analysis beyond what is readily available in traditional sportsbook odds. While sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk assessment, this market allows anyone to participate and express their beliefs, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities. However, sportsbook odds can sometimes differ due to factors like house edge and differing opinions on event specifics. It’s valuable to compare both to gain a comprehensive understanding of the expected outcome.

This market resolves around Oct 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the toss between Afghanistan and Japan in the Asian Games Men's competition. The outcome will be determined by which team wins the toss, as announced by the official tournament organizers. This market will then settle based on that verified result, distributing payouts to those who correctly predicted the winner.

Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team form, potential player changes, or even weather conditions at the event could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements related to the tournament schedule or any controversies surrounding the toss itself could also cause price fluctuations. Furthermore, large trades by influential participants on Polymarket could create short-term price movements. Monitoring these signals and staying informed about the event will be crucial for understanding potential shifts in this market.
