This market refers to which team's player records the highest individual run total in the cricket match between Afghanistan and Japan scheduled for September 23 2026 at 8:00 PM ET in Asian Games Men. The outcome corresponding to Afghanistan will be considered correct if the highest individual score in the match is recorded exclusively by a player from Afghanistan. The outcome corresponding to Japan will be considered correct if the highest individual score is recorded exclusively by a player from Japan. If the highest individual score is shared by at least one player from each team, the market will resolve to Draw. The market will resolve according to which team's player records the highest individual run total regardless of if the match is not competed (e.g. Due to weather conditions). DLS/DRS adjustments and any other on-field rulings affecting batting statistics are treated as ordinary data. If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without official batting statistics being recorded, the market will resolve Draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and official statistics are available.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular player, the price increases, reflecting growing confidence in their chances of being the top batter. Conversely, selling pressure drives prices down. This dynamic pricing creates a constantly updated forecast of the most likely outcome, based on the collective intelligence of the traders.
This market resolves around Oct 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which player scores the most runs in the Afghanistan vs. Japan match at the Asian Games. In the event of a tie, the player who reached the score first will be considered the top batter. The official match results will serve as the basis for determining the winning outcome in this market, ensuring a transparent and verifiable resolution process.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding player form, potential injuries, or changes to the team lineups would likely have a significant impact. Weather conditions on the day of the match could also play a role, as they can affect batting conditions and overall scoring rates. Unexpected performances in previous matches or strong statements from team analysts could also sway market sentiment. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of a player’s likelihood of success has the potential to move this market.
