This market refers to the cricket match between Afghanistan and Japan scheduled for September 23 2026 at 8:00 PM ET in Asian Games Men. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market incorporates real-time information and the opinions of many individuals. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts leading up to the event. Comparing the two can provide a more comprehensive view of the likely outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where participants buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price reflects the aggregated predictions of all traders, creating a dynamic and evolving forecast for the Asian Games men's soccer match.
This market resolves around Oct 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Asian Games men's soccer match between Afghanistan and Japan. The winning team, as declared by the official tournament organizers, will determine the winning outcome in this market. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final result.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in coaching staff, or shifts in player form could significantly impact the perceived probabilities. Unexpected results in other matches leading up to the event, or even weather conditions, might also cause traders to reassess their positions. Public sentiment, reflected in social media and news coverage, can also play a role in driving price movements within this market.
