Description

This event tracks the performance of two baseball teams during the first five innings of their scheduled game. It focuses on the margin of victory for either team within that specific segment of the match, providing insight into early-game dominance. The outcome depends solely on the run difference at the end of the fifth inning, regardless of the final full-game result.

Kalshi

The event consists of four separate markets, each evaluating different run-spread scenarios for the first five innings of the A's vs Kansas City baseball game scheduled for August 17, 2026. Each market resolves based on whether the specified team wins the first five innings by a margin greater than the designated run line (either -1.5 or -2.5 runs). If Kansas City meets or exceeds the required run differential in their favor, the corresponding market resolves to Yes. Conversely, if the A's achieve the required run differential in their favor, the relevant market also resolves to Yes. If neither team meets their respective run-spread requirement, all markets resolve to No. Should the originally scheduled game be postponed or delayed, all markets remain open and will close only after the completion of the rescheduled game, provided the reschedule occurs within two days of the original date. The resolving entity explicitly disclaims any official affiliation with the governing league, and all associated trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
