This market tracks the outcome of the second set in the professional tennis match between Aryna Sabalenka and Teodora Kostovic at the 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 128 on June 29. The winner of set 2 will determine the market resolution.
The market resolves based on which player wins set 2 in the Sabalenka vs Kostovic match at 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 128. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to fair market price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate beliefs from traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market may price the set winner differently than traditional sports betting sites, sometimes offering sharper or more reactive pricing. Comparing the two can reveal where informed traders see value relative to conventional bookmakers.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each possible outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the balance of supply and demand; as more traders believe one player will win the set, that outcome's price rises. You can place limit or market orders to enter or exit positions, and the spread between bid and ask prices tightens as liquidity increases, making it easier to trade at favorable rates.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the second set of the Sabalenka vs Kostovic match concludes. The outcome is determined by verified reporting of who won that set, confirmed against credible public sources such as official tournament records or major sports news outlets. Your position will settle based on the actual result, with payouts distributed to holders of the winning outcome.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before resolution. Injury reports or player fitness updates in the days leading up to the match may alter expectations. Once play begins, the first set outcome, momentum shifts, and on-court performance will drive repricing. Player form trends, head-to-head history, and court conditions can all influence how traders reassess the likelihood of each outcome. Real-time match developments—such as breaks of serve, set point situations, or tactical adjustments—typically trigger the most dramatic price movements.
