This set of markets tracks how many touchdowns each team scores through receptions in an upcoming college football game. It focuses specifically on offensive performance via the passing game, ignoring other ways players might score.
These markets resolve based on the total number of receiving touchdowns scored by either Arkansas or Utah in their college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. A receiving touchdown is counted when a player catches a passed ball and scores in the end zone, including any touchdowns scored during overtime periods. Touchdowns resulting from recovered fumbles by another player do not count, though if the original receiving player recovers their own fumble and scores, it is counted. Successful two-point conversions, whether in regulation or overtime, are excluded from all counts. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, betting remains active and resolves according to the final official result. Should the game fail to commence within that 48-hour window, markets resolve at a fair price. Kalshi explicitly states it holds no official affiliation with the NCAA, and all referenced trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows traders to express their own beliefs about the likelihood of each team scoring multiple receiving touchdowns. Often, prediction markets are more accurate than sportsbook odds, especially when considering information not fully captured by sportsbook models. It’s common to see discrepancies as new information emerges and traders update their assessments of the game.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing each outcome – Arkansas scoring 2+ receiving touchdowns or Utah scoring 2+ receiving touchdowns – and the prices fluctuate based on supply and demand. As more traders believe an outcome is likely, the price of that outcome increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism means the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants, constantly adjusting to new information and changing expectations about the game's outcome.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, following the conclusion of the Arkansas vs Utah football game. The outcome will be determined by verifying the official game statistics from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will assess whether each team – Arkansas and Utah – has scored two or more receiving touchdowns during the game. The resolution will be based on official data, ensuring an objective and verifiable result for this market.
Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Injury reports for key wide receivers or tight ends on either team would be significant, as would any changes to the projected weather conditions for the game. Unexpected news regarding team strategy or coaching decisions could also impact trader sentiment. Furthermore, any updates on the overall health of the offenses, or changes in the perceived strength of either team’s passing game, could lead to shifts in the prices within this market.
