These markets evaluate how many points Arizona and Washington State will score in the fourth quarter of their college football game on September 26, 2026. Each market corresponds to a different threshold of points, and the outcome depends on whether the combined score exceeds that threshold.
The markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the fourth quarter (excluding overtime) of the Arizona vs Washington State college football game scheduled for September 26, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined score exceeds the threshold (e.g., more than 2.5, 5.5, 7.5, etc.), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored in the fourth quarter count, and overtime points are excluded from all calculations.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by a small team of experts, while this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. Often, you will find that prediction markets are more accurate than traditional forecasts, especially when there is significant public interest. However, sportsbook odds can be influenced by factors like promotional offers and risk management, leading to discrepancies with the probabilities implied by this market. It's useful to compare both to form a well-rounded view.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts. The price of a contract represents the probability of a specific outcome – in this case, the total points scored in the 4th quarter falling within a certain range. As more people buy contracts predicting a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants. The current price indicates what traders are willing to pay for a contract, effectively expressing their belief about the likely total score.
This market resolves around Sep 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the 4th quarter of the Arizona vs Washington State game will be used to determine whether contracts predicting a specific point total range pay out. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring an objective and transparent process. Traders will be able to see the final result and whether their contracts were settled in their favor shortly after the game concludes. This market’s outcome is determined by the official game results.
Several factors could influence the price of contracts in this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries for either Arizona or Washington State would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favorable for high or low scoring, could also impact trading activity. Public perception, driven by expert analysis or social media trends, can also shift the market. Finally, as the game draws closer, any significant betting activity in traditional sportsbooks might influence traders on Kalshi to adjust their positions, leading to price fluctuations.
