This market focuses on determining which team will score more runs in the first inning of an upcoming baseball game. It provides a quick snapshot of early-game performance, reflecting the offensive strength and strategic starts of each team within the first few pitches.
The market resolves based on the number of runs scored by each team specifically during the first inning of the designated game. If Arizona scores more runs than San Diego in the first inning, the 'Arizona wins 1st inning' market resolves to Yes. Conversely, if San Diego scores more runs than Arizona, the 'San Diego wins 1st inning' market resolves to Yes. Should both teams score an equal number of runs, or if neither team scores any runs, the 'Tie 1st inning' market resolves to Yes. If the game is called or otherwise ends before the first inning is fully completed, all markets resolve to a Fair Price. Only runs scored within the first inning are considered for resolution, and Kalshi clarifies that it holds no official affiliation with the governing league associated with the game.
