Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Polymarket and Predict may show different implied probabilities for the same exact score outcome due to variations in liquidity, user base composition, fee structures, and order-book depth. One platform may attract more Argentina backers while the other draws Algeria supporters, creating temporary price gaps. Differences in trading hours, platform UI, and trader sophistication also influence how quickly each market reflects new information. These divergences create opportunities for traders to identify mispricings and arbitrage across venues before consensus realigns.
Key catalysts include team news such as injuries to star players, lineup announcements, and tactical shifts. Pre-match analysis from credible sources, recent form trends, and head-to-head history can shift trader positioning. Weather conditions and venue factors may also influence scoring expectations. As kickoff approaches, late money flows and sharp action often move odds noticeably. During the match itself, early goals, red cards, and momentum swings will cause rapid repricing of remaining scoreline probabilities, especially for exact-score outcomes where precision is critical.
